More power for you
The Volvo FM is a robust and reliable workhorse. These trucks can literally move mountains, and what is more they do it in a fuel-efficient way. With no less than four engine types covering a power span from 300 to 480 horsepower, there is always the ideal engine for the job at hand.
D9B – High efficiency. Low weight
The D9B – with power up to 380 hp – provides extremely high power in relation to its displacement. The engine permits high revs and thus operates within a wide rev range. Max power output is available from just 1600 rpm. Engine-mounted power take-off with extremely high power output – 1000 Nm. The D9B is available with power outputs of 300, 340 and 380 hp.
D11B – Fuel efficency and driveability in focus
The D11B engine is a 10.8 litres, in-line six cylinder diesel engine with turbocharger and intercooler. Available with a choice of two power outputs; 390 and 430 hp.
The D11B is available for 4x2 and 6x2 tractors with the Globetrotter LXL cab.
D13A – Pure power
The D13A has proven itself to be very fuel-effi cient while offering excellent driveability. The long stroke provides power from low revs and ensures that torque is spread across a wide rev range. The D13A is available with a choice of 360, 400, 440 and 480 hp for Euro 4 and with 400, 440 and 480 hp for Euro 5.
D13B - with EGR technology
The D13B has the same good driving properties as the D13A. Volvo’s EGR solution requires no after-treatment of the exhaust gases. The advantage of EGR is its simple installation. The D13B is available with power outputs of 360, 400 and 440 hp.
